On August 8, 2020, China Civil Engineering and Congo (DRC) Highway Management Company signed a design and construction contract for the Congo (DRC) Luambo-Kiubo Highway Upgrade Project.

The Kinluambo-Kiubo Highway Upgrade Project is located between Likasi City and Manono City in Upper Katanga Province in the southeastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The construction content mainly includes roadbed and pavement repair works. The total length is 160 kilometers. Greatly improve the current traffic situation in the surrounding areas and benefit the local people.
