On the morning of November 10, 2020, China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Beijing Company held a groundbreaking ceremony at the construction site of the third phase of the Taoziwan Wastewater Treatment Plant in Yantai City.

It is reported that the third phase of Yantai Taoziwan Sewage Treatment Plant is located in the downtown area of Yantai. The construction content includes pretreatment workshops, comprehensive treatment workshops, advanced treatment workshops and other structures (including liquid oxygen storage tanks and intelligent transformation equipment) and auxiliary equipment Roads, greening and other supporting facilities, with a total investment of 822 million yuan, a total construction area of 45,700 square meters, and a designed treatment capacity of 150,000 tons/day (sewage treatment capacity of 120,000 tons/day and concentrated brine treatment capacity of 30,000 tons/day). The cooperation period of the project is 30 years, of which the construction period is 2 years and the operation period is 28 years. The government-paid PPP mode is adopted for implementation.

Wei Zhenge, executive general manager of infrastructure of the Beijing Branch of China Construction Third Engineering Bureau, encouraged all participants in the construction to use practical actions to add a quality water plant to the people of Yantai City and build a livelihood project. In the future, after the completion of the project, it will provide impetus support for the improvement of residential water consumption and regional ecological environment, as well as the sustainable development of Shandong Peninsula's economic construction, and further increase the well-being of the people of Yantai City.
