On the morning of December 26, 2020, after more than 1,400 days and nights of hard work, the Zhengzhou Rail Transit Line 4 project jointly constructed by the China Railway 18th Bureau Group was officially opened and operated, bringing the best blessings of the new year to the citizens of Zhengzhou.

Route details

Zhengzhou Rail Transit Line 4 has an inverted "L" shape. It starts at Laoyachen Station in Huiji District and ends at Hexi Road Station in Guancheng District. It is a north-south backbone line connecting the northern area, Zhengdong New Area and the southern area. The total length is 29.217 kilometers, with 27 stations, including 10 transfer stations, with an average distance of 1.088 kilometers. The main line is laid underground. Zhengzhou Metro Line 4 adopts the design concept of "colorful Central Plains, colorful Zhengzhou", the color is white and gray as the main color of the space, with "technological blue", and the air purification system is adopted for the first time.

It is understood that the Zhengzhou Rail Transit Line 4 Section 03 Project undertaken by China Railway Eighteenth Bureau Group is located in Jinshui District, Zhengzhou City. The length of the line is 3.327 kilometers. The main construction content includes 3 open-cut stations and 3 underground shields. The sections are Wenhua Road Station (now Zhangjiacun Station), Xisha Road Station (now Chenzhai East Station), Guoji Road Station (now Shamen Station), Fengqing Road Station-Wenhua Road Station, Wenhua Road Station-Xisha Road station interval, Xisha Road Station-Guoji Road Station interval.

Zhengzhou Rail Transit Line 4 runs through the main axis of the north-south development of the city and is the backbone line connecting the northern area, Zhengdong New Area and the southern area. After opening and operation, it will greatly shorten the time and space distance between the northwest and southeast of Zhengzhou, which will promote the economic development of Zhengdong New Area, accelerate the formation of a reasonable layout in eastern Zhengzhou, and improve the urban land use pattern and urban spatial structure.
