On June 13, 2022, the Tianjin Housing and Urban-Rural Development Committee announced the first batch of urban renewal projects, including four key construction projects: urban renewal of foreign goods market, urban renewal of North China Ceramics, urban renewal of Dagu City, and urban renewal of Zhonghai Industrial Park. They are all located in the core area of Tianjin Binhai New Area, involving a total land area of about 20 square kilometers. It is estimated that the total investment will reach 200 billion yuan and create no less than 50,000 jobs. It will be launched in the second half of 2022.
