On the morning of July 4, 2024, the concentrated start-up and cooperation enterprise signing ceremony of the July 2024 projects in Dongfang City, Hainan Province was held at the Changsha Boneng New Energy Complete Equipment Manufacturing Base project site. A total of 9 projects were signed and 21 projects were started, with a total investment of 6.808 billion yuan. This is a powerful measure for Dongfang City to serve and accelerate the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port. It is also an important growth point for high-quality development in the province and a necessary part of building a central city in the southwest of Hainan. It will inject new vitality and impetus into Dongfang's high-quality development.

At the Changsha Boneng New Energy Complete Equipment Manufacturing Base project site, colorful balls were hung high and various machines were ready to go. Dongfang Municipal Party Committee Secretary Li Aihua, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor Lu Sheng, Chairman of the Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee Zhong Haitao, Chairman of the Municipal CPPCC Pan Yining, and Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission Ouyang Hua attended the event ceremony.

Lu Sheng delivered a speech on behalf of the Dongfang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. He pointed out that the signing and start of the project are only the starting point, and completion and production are the key. Investors and construction units should strengthen their sense of responsibility, time and quality, work backwards, fight against time, and strive to complete the project as soon as possible. It is reported that there are 9 projects signed and 21 projects started, with a total investment of 6.808 billion yuan, and an investment of 1.858 billion yuan is planned to be completed this year. The signed projects include leading projects such as advanced manufacturing and green energy to develop new quality productivity and accumulate power for Dongfang's future development. The projects started include supporting projects such as business complexes and transportation and logistics infrastructure that serve high-quality development, as well as affordable housing, renovation of old communities, domestic sewage treatment, and special agricultural markets that enhance people's livelihood and welfare.
