Recently, the National Energy Bozhou 2×660 MW ultra-supercritical unit project held a grand ceremony for pouring the first batch of concrete in Bole City, marking the official start of construction of this major energy project. This project not only carries the heavy responsibility of optimizing the energy structure in Bozhou, but also heralds a new chapter in regional economic development.
The project was carefully planned in Bole City. The core content is to build two high-efficiency 660MW ultra-supercritical generators with one-time reheating and heating functions, and simultaneously build advanced flue gas desulfurization, denitrification and dust removal systems to ensure that environmental protection and benefits are given equal importance. The total investment scale of the project is large, with static investment reaching 5.505 billion yuan and dynamic investment increasing to 5.716 billion yuan. It is expected to be fully put into production in 2026. By then, the annual power generation is expected to reach 5.94 billion kWh, which will not only greatly ease the local power supply pressure, but also serve as the only centralized heating source in Bole City, covering the heating needs of residents of no less than 14 million square meters, effectively filling the gap of insufficient coal-fired power support in Bortala Prefecture for a long time.
At the same time, the first batch of 600MW photovoltaic projects of the two joint comprehensive energy demonstration projects in Bortala Prefecture are also being accelerated. The site is also located in Bole City, about 40 kilometers northeast of the urban area. The planned total scale is 600MW, and the DC side installed capacity is as high as 721MWp. The project is expected to break ground at the end of July this year, and strive to achieve grid-connected power generation before the end of the year, showing Bortala Prefecture's firm pace and efficient execution in the layout of new energy.
As a comprehensive project integrating heating, steam supply, power supply, peak regulation and energy storage functions, the two joint comprehensive energy demonstration projects will significantly improve the power self-sufficiency, supply reliability and emergency guarantee level of the Bortala region after their completion. More importantly, the project will effectively promote the green transformation of the regional energy structure, achieve lower energy consumption, higher cleanliness and more stable supply in energy production and consumption, and inject strong impetus into the high-quality green and low-carbon development of Bortala's economy. This is not only a strong response to the construction of the core area of the Belt and Road Initiative, but also the responsibility and commitment of Bortala as an important node city in promoting regional energy cooperation and sustainable development.Editor/Cheng Ting
