On August 12, 2024, a giant steel cage, 50 meters high and weighing 87 tons, was firmly embedded in the preset slot, marking the key station of the first phase of Shijiazhuang Metro Line 5: Jiefang Street Station, officially Construction kicked off. The first phase project of Shijiazhuang Metro Line 5 was ingeniously built by Shijiazhuang Rail Transit Group. It is about 19.9 kilometers long and has 19 carefully planned stations. It starts from Gongbei Road Station and winds along Hongqi Street and Youyi Street, passing through Shizhuang Road finally runs side by side with Guanghua Road and ends at Tangubei Street Station.
