The elite joint venture formed by China Energy Engineering International Group, Guangxi Institute, and Hunan Institute has recently made significant breakthroughs in the energy sector in Malaysia, successfully signing the EPC contract for the 24.5MW hydropower project in Perak with Water Engineering Technology Limited in Malaysia. This milestone signing not only marks the official launch of China Energy Engineering International Group's first hydropower project in the Malaysian market, but also demonstrates the group's strong strength and profound foundation in the field of international hydropower engineering construction.

The project is located in the picturesque cities of Perak and Fung, with a unique geographical location and abundant water resources, providing favorable conditions for the implementation of hydropower projects. The total installed capacity of the project reaches 24.5MW, and the designed annual power generation is expected to reach 168.8GWh, which will effectively alleviate the local power supply pressure and promote sustainable economic and social development.

In order to ensure the smooth implementation and high-quality completion of the project, China Energy Engineering International Group and its joint venture members Guangxi Institute and Hunan Institute have gathered top design, construction, and management talents in the industry to form a professional and efficient project team. They will be fully involved in all aspects of the project with a rigorous attitude, scientific management, and advanced technology.

The project covers a series of complex and critical engineering contents, including the construction of water retaining dams to intercept water flow and ensure the safety of reservoir storage; The design of overflow dams is to cope with floods exceeding the standard and ensure the safety of the dam; The setting of sand discharge holes is to remove sediment and protect the smooth flow of the water diversion system; Installation of water diversion pipelines to efficiently transport water to the power plant; And the improvement of supporting facilities such as factories, booster stations, and transmission lines to achieve stable production and transmission of electrical energy. Keywords: the Belt and Road news, the Belt and Road project, overseas project.

The entire project is expected to take 32 months. Since the official start of construction in September this year, the project team has been intensively carrying out preliminary preparations, including on-site investigation, design optimization, material procurement, etc. In the upcoming construction process, they will strictly follow international standards and industry norms, strengthen quality and safety supervision, and ensure the smooth progress of the project as planned.
