According to Pakistani media reports, with the support of the Special Investment Facilitation Committee, stakeholders in Pakistan's energy infrastructure have reached a consensus that the construction of the white oil pipeline project is about to begin.
The project aims to reduce reliance on road transportation, improve environmental sustainability, and enhance the overall efficiency of oil distribution. The White Oil Pipeline project is expected to revolutionize Pakistan's energy landscape by providing a more reliable and cost-effective fuel supply.
It is reported that the project has a total length of 477 kilometers and is planned to connect important regions of Pakistan, including Machik and Tarian in Punjab Province and Tarujaba in Cape Province, with the aim of optimizing the country's oil distribution system. At the same time, the white oil pipeline project will be laid along the highway, connecting the Atok Refinery in Punjab Province and important stations such as Chakpirana and Fajrabad in Cape Province, ensuring smoother and more efficient oil transportation in the region.
In addition, the initial transportation capacity of the pipeline is 7 million tons, and it may be expanded to 10 million tons in the future. Therefore, the construction of pipelines will significantly reduce domestic transportation costs and save billions of rupees for the country's finances. Meanwhile, by increasing the supply of petroleum products, the project will also reduce the risk of fuel adulteration and enhance the safety of fuel use.
In addition, the White Oil Pipeline project is led by Pakistan National Petroleum Corporation, Pakistan Arab Refining Company, and Interstate Gas Systems Limited, and the construction work is organized and supervised by the Border Defense Engineering Organization. The rapid progress of this project demonstrates the firm commitment of the government and SIFC to promoting the development of Pakistan's oil industry.
