The bidding work for the construction general contracting project of the third section of the Yueyang Port Area Railway Special Line Project of the Haoji Railway Coal Collection and Distribution System in Yueyang City, Hunan Province has been completed. China Railway 11th Bureau Group Co., Ltd. successfully won the bid for 364749099 yuan, marking the substantial promotion stage of this major energy transportation infrastructure construction project.

The project is located in Yueyang City, Hunan Province, spanning Yunxi District and Chenglingji Port Industrial New Area. The project route starts from the north side of the eastern throat of Pingtian Station, extends eastward along the north side of Haoji Railway, turns north from the west side of Yueyang Service Area of Xuguang Expressway, crosses National Highway G107 Yunxi Avenue, Xuguang Expressway and Provincial Highway S209 successively, and finally connects to Yueyang Coal Reserve Base and sets up Nanyangzhou Station. The total length of the main line is 21.514 kilometers.

The third section of the project is located in Lucheng Town, Yunxi District, with a route length of DK11+737.832 to DK19+891 (including 21.514 kilometers of empty train yard at Nanyang Island Station), and a total length of 8.153 kilometers of main line (including 9.776 kilometers of empty train track at Nanyang Island Station). The main construction content includes 6497 meters of roadbed engineering (including station yard roadbed), 5 railway bridges (including 3 super large bridges), and 8.153 kilometers of mainline track laying. The total length of the bridge project is 3276 meters, including key node projects such as a 128 meter steel truss beam spanning the Suiyue Expressway and a 732 meter trough beam in Lujiahu.

The bidding competition is fierce this time, with China Railway Guangzhou Engineering Bureau Group Co., Ltd. ranking second with 35529985 yuan and China Railway 15th Bureau Group Co., Ltd. ranking third with 370040796 yuan. The project has a planned duration of 780 days and is expected to officially start construction on August 15, 2025 and be completed on October 4, 2027. The engineering quality will strictly follow the relevant national, industry, and local engineering acceptance standards.

The implementation of this project will further improve China's "North to South Coal Transport" strategic transportation channel, significantly enhance the coal collection and distribution capacity of Yueyang Port Area, and have important significance for ensuring energy supply security in Central China and promoting high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
