The project has a total investment of 2 billion yuan and is located in Dunhua Economic Development Zone, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province. It will adopt internationally leading biomass conversion technology to create a modern chemical industry base integrating green methanol and ethanol production.

The project plan shows that the project will fully utilize the abundant non grain biomass straw resources in Northeast China, and produce 40000 tons of ethanol annually through fermentation technology. The slurry produced in the ethanol production process will be converted into synthesis gas using fluidized bed pressure gasification technology, and then undergo processes such as transformation, desulfurization and decarbonization, methanol synthesis, etc., ultimately achieving an annual production capacity of 150000 tons of green methanol. After the completion of the project, it is expected that the annual output value will reach 1.8 billion yuan, driving employment for more than 300 people.
