CPC Engineering announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Pipeline Bureau Engineering Company, has officially signed an EPC general contracting contract with Abu Dhabi Natural Gas Operations and Marketing Company for the natural gas pipeline projects in the Bab and Buhasa oil fields in the United Arab Emirates (referred to as the "UAE LNG Pipeline Project"). The contract amount for this major project is as high as 513 million US dollars (approximately 3.688 billion yuan), marking China's deep recognition in the international market once again in the field of high-end energy engineering.

This project is a key energy infrastructure upgrade project in the Middle East region. The pipeline network starts from the existing HABSHAN oilfield gas processing plant in Abu Dhabi and ends directly at the liquefied natural gas plant in the RUWAIS industrial zone, forming a key artery connecting upstream gas sources with downstream liquefied export terminals.

The scale of engineering construction is huge and the technical standards are high. Specifically, it includes laying a 56 inch large-diameter natural gas pipeline that is 25.8 kilometers long, as well as a 52 inch main pipeline that is 154.7 kilometers long. In addition, the project also includes supporting primary and backup fiber optic cable systems, a total of 31 non excavation crossing projects, and the construction of 3 receiving and launching stations and 6 line valve chambers to ensure the automation, safety, and efficiency of pipeline operations in the future. According to the contract, the overall performance period of the project is 48 months. Among them, the construction and commissioning period of the core is 36 months, and it is expected to achieve full line connection and put into operation by 2025. After the project is successfully put into operation, it will enter a 12-month warranty period. This cooperation is another milestone breakthrough made by China's energy construction forces in the markets along the the Belt and Road, which not only demonstrates the strong competitiveness of CNPC in the international EPC general contracting market, but also lays a solid foundation for promoting the deepening of energy cooperation between China and the Middle East.
