The accident occurred on the morning of January 14, 2026 local time, at the construction site of the high-speed railway project under construction in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. During the construction process, a crane suddenly fell and hit a moving passenger train, causing the carriage to catch fire and derail. ‌‌
