This quantitative hyperspectral intelligent computing satellite, independently developed by Xiopm SPACE, has officially launched and is planned to be launched at an appropriate time in mid-2026.
It is reported that Xiguang-2 01 star (Caiyun Hyperspectral 01 star) is the first star of Xiopm SPACE's "Quantitative Hyperspectral Intelligent Computing Constellation", as well as the first star jointly built by Xiopm SPACE and Zhijiang Laboratory for the "Three Body Computing Constellation". It is also the first satellite of Xiopm SPACE's "Commercial Space Fusion of Geology and Mineral Resources" cooperation with Yunnan Geology and Mineral Resources.
Qin Jing, Chairman of Xiopm SPACE, introduced at the expedition ceremony that Xiguang-2 01 satellite (Caiyun Hyperspectral 01 satellite) is equipped with hyperspectral optical payload, panchromatic optical payload, and in orbit intelligent processing payload, positioned as "artificial intelligence+commercial aerospace+quantitative remote sensing", breaking through the bottleneck of traditional remote sensing "sky sensing and earth computing", and achieving three major technological breakthroughs.
Firstly, Xiguang-2 01 satellite (Caiyun Hyperspectral 01 satellite) is equipped with advanced hyperspectral and panchromatic optical payloads, possessing hyperspectral resolution, fine spatial resolution, and multi-source data fusion capabilities. It can accurately capture the "spectral fingerprint" of surface materials, directly identify key information such as mineral composition, vegetation growth, and water pollution, and achieve "one glance to distinguish materials, one map to understand the whole picture", allowing remote sensing to directly analyze materials from imaging.
