On January 27th, the Fourth Session of the 14th People's Congress of the Autonomous Region opened, and the Chairman of the Autonomous Region, Erken Tuniazi, delivered a government work report.  

  In July 2022 and August 2023, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited Xinjiang for investigation and research, listened to work reports, and made important arrangements for Xinjiang's work. In September 2025, General Secretary Xi Jinping personally led a central delegation to attend the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the autonomous region, delivering important speeches and giving important instructions.
