More than 350 representatives from the political and business circles of China and Kenya attended.

During the thematic discussion session, representatives from the political and business sectors of the two countries had in-depth exchanges on topics such as the implementation of zero tariff policies, the construction of logistics channels, and agricultural cooperation.

Ren Hongbin, President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, stated in his speech that China will fully implement zero tariff measures for 53 African countries, including Kenya, starting from May 1, 2026, to provide greater opportunities for Africa in the Chinese market. This event showcases Kenya's zero tariff exports to China, focusing on the "early harvest" of the China Kenya agreement and exploring the potential for pragmatic cooperation between the two countries. It is a practical action to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state. I hope that enterprises from both countries can seize the rare opportunity, strengthen communication and docking, and achieve tangible results.

Kenyan Vice President Jindiki stated that China is one of the most dynamic economies in the world, with a consumer market of over 1.4 billion people. Agriculture is the foundation of Kenya's economy, and the Chinese market provides enormous opportunities for Kenya's agricultural exports.

The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade organized 64 Chinese enterprises from agricultural, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, finance and other fields to visit Kenya. 25 Kenyan enterprises from agriculture, mining, processing and manufacturing industries showcased their zero tariff characteristic products exported to China during the event. Multiple companies from both countries have reached procurement agreements and cooperation intentions in the fields of coffee, avocados, minerals, and more.
