On May 15, 2026, the China Russia Joint Research Project Roundtable Conference was held at the Moscow Iron and Steel Alloy Institute. This conference is jointly hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Russia, the International Science and Technology Cooperation Center of the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Russian International Science and Education Project Analysis Center. Representatives from the government departments and research project management institutions of both sides attended and delivered speeches. Representatives from the executing units of 8 Sino Russian joint research projects made reports and provided opinions and suggestions on optimizing Sino Russian joint research and development cooperation.

The attending representatives unanimously agreed that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, the cooperation in scientific and technological innovation between China and Russia is increasingly deepening. The pragmatic cooperation between the two sides in areas such as joint research and development and achievement transformation continues to deepen and become more practical. The next step is to further optimize the joint R&D project management mechanism, strengthen the integration of industry, academia, and research, promote the exchange of young scientific and technological talents, and continuously inject new impetus into the scientific and technological innovation cooperation between the two countries.Editor/Gong Ziwei
