On May 7, 2026, the Chinese Embassy in Norway held the 3rd China Norway Green Cooperation Seminar on "Tram Revolution: Embracing a Green Future". More than 120 people, including representatives from industry leaders, business associations, and professional media reporters from Huawei, BYD, the Norwegian Automobile Federation, and the Charging Enterprise Association, attended the event.

Ambassador Hou Yue stated in his speech that the transformation and greening of the automotive industry is crucial for achieving emission reduction commitments, and the electric vehicle industry has become a new business card for China Norway cooperation. During the 15th Five Year Plan period, China will accelerate the comprehensive green transformation of its economy and society, and turn green into a new engine for economic growth. We look forward to China and Norway continuing to work hand in hand, exploring complementary advantages and potential, becoming comrades and good partners in green transformation, and injecting more momentum into bilateral cooperation.
The attending guests highly praised the achievements of China's electric vehicle industry development and jointly looked forward to the prospects of China Norway and China Europe green transformation cooperation. The guests also experienced the Chinese electric vehicles exhibited at the event with great interest.

The on-site interaction was lively, and representatives from Chinese and Norwegian enterprises engaged in practical dialogues on topics such as battery recycling, intelligent charging network construction, and carbon footprint certification, and reached three technical cooperation intentions on the spot. An official from the Norwegian Ministry of Transport admitted that the high cost-effectiveness and rapid iteration capability of Chinese electric vehicles are effectively promoting the popularization of green travel in Northern Europe.Editor/Yang Meiling
