Recently, the first domestically developed 6MN radial forging machine independently developed by Lanshi Heavy Industry Company has successfully completed hot testing, marking another significant progress in the field of high-end forging equipment for the company. After the 1.6MN, 2MN, 3.4MN, and 13MN series forging machines, the successful breakthrough of the 6MN equipment further promotes the domestic medium and large-scale forging equipment to enter a new stage of independent and controllable high-precision manufacturing, laying a solid foundation for the independent development of the forging industry chain.

During the development process, this device has successfully achieved innovative breakthroughs in multiple core "bottleneck" technologies. In response to the common industry challenge of high-speed start stop and precise positioning of high-quality components, the R&D team has overcome the high inertia high-frequency response hydraulic servo collaborative control technology to ensure efficient and stable operation of multi axis systems. Innovatively introducing hydraulic buffering technology significantly reduces the impact and vibration during the forging process, achieves precise compensation for forging elongation, and effectively guarantees the straightness and overall accuracy of long axis forgings. The equipment has also developed a programmable forging control system and process automatic execution system based on the requirements of complex forging processes. With the help of servo drives, high-precision sensors, and real-time adjustment algorithms, the entire process of automatic forging from feeding to discharging is achieved, greatly improving production efficiency and product quality stability.

In terms of performance, the diameter forging machine combines high efficiency and high precision, with a forging frequency of up to 310 times per minute. It effectively controls the temperature drop of the workpiece while maintaining good plasticity and flowability of the material. With the high-precision control capability of ± 0.5mm, it provides key technical support for near net forming of forgings, which helps reduce machining allowance, shorten subsequent processes, and lower production costs. The equipment has outstanding universality and is capable of processing various difficult to form materials, including high alloy steel, high-temperature alloys, titanium alloys, medium high alloy metal mold steel, and various refractory alloys, in addition to ordinary steel. It can meet the production needs of multiple strategic fields such as aerospace, energy and power, rail transportation, and petrochemicals.
For a long time, the core technology of high-end diameter forging equipment in China has relied heavily on imports, which has become a key bottleneck restricting the safety of the industrial chain and industrial upgrading. The successful development of the 6MN diameter forging machine not only fills the technical gap of this specification equipment in China, but also realizes the independent controllability of key technologies, which has a positive significance for breaking foreign monopolies and ensuring the security of the national strategic industry supply chain.
