On May 8, 2026, SPIC and FAW officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement on digital transformation in Beijing. SPIC Party Secretary and Chairman Liu Mingsheng, FAW Party Secretary and Chairman Qiu Xiandong attended the event together and witnessed the entire process of signing the agreement.

SPIC's Chief Information Officer and Finance Director, Xu Lihong, and FAW's Assistant General Manager and Vice President of Hongqi Brand Operations Committee and General Manager of System Digitalization Department, Men Xin, signed strategic cooperation agreements on behalf of both parties. According to the agreement, both parties will carry out comprehensive and in-depth cooperation in multiple dimensions, including the establishment of institutional mechanisms for digital transformation, talent cultivation and capability enhancement, research and development of digital platform tools and artificial intelligence applications, and implementation of digital application services.
