The good news of the Huangtong to Baise railway in Guizhou is that the rigid continuous beam of Zhenhong River Bridge has completed the side span closure. The completion of this milestone has refreshed the construction progress and laid a solid foundation for the subsequent construction of the entire line. The construction of the Western Land Sea New Corridor is steadily moving forward.
Breakthrough in Bridge Closure Construction
On June 9, 2026, the final concrete pouring of the rigid continuous beam of the Zhenhonghe Bridge on the Guangxi section of the Huangbai Railway was completed, and the side span closure was successfully completed. This is also the first completed continuous beam project in this section, which means significant progress has been made in the construction of the upper part of the bridge, creating favorable conditions for subsequent beam erection and track laying operations.

The Zhenhong River Bridge is located in Lingyun County, Baise City, with a total length of 476 meters. The rigid frame continuous beam of this project has a span of 88 meters, spanning the Yinbai Expressway and Zhenhong River. The maximum height of the beam above the ground is close to 70 meters, making it a key and difficult project along the entire line. The construction team adopts a construction sequence of first mid span and then cross span to avoid safety hazards such as structural deformation. At the same time, the use of hanging baskets for full protection measures ensures that highway traffic is not disturbed.
Strictly control the construction quality
The local temperature in Baise is relatively high, with a significant temperature difference between day and night, which can easily lead to cracks after concrete pouring, directly affecting the quality of the beam structure. Crack prevention and control have become the focus of construction.

Zhong Chao, Deputy General Manager of the Huangbai Railway Project Department of China Railway Beijing Bureau, introduced that the staff monitored the temperature changes in real time and selected the low temperature stable period in the early morning to carry out pouring operations. High performance compensating shrinkage concrete is also applied on site, and the material can quickly reach the design strength, ensuring the quality of the project in all aspects. At present, the pile foundation and pier construction of the bridge have been completed, and the entire bridge is planned to be completed in October 2027.
Promote the empowerment of regional development across the entire line
According to Yang Yan, the relevant person in charge of Yunnan Guangxi Railway Guangxi Company, the various projects of the Guangxi section of the Huangbai Railway are progressing in an orderly manner. The total amount of tunnel engineering completed is 64.3%, the roadbed earthwork completed is 64.8%, and the completion rate of the lower part of the bridge engineering is 91.6%. Next, we will accelerate the construction of beam yards and prefabrication of box girders, striving to start beam erection by the end of 2026 and complete the annual construction target as scheduled. The Huangbai Railway has a total length of approximately 315 kilometers and a designed operating speed of 160 kilometers per hour. It is a key project of the Western Land Sea New Corridor. The route is planned to be fully operational by 2028, connecting the transportation hub from northern Guizhou to the Beibu Gulf of Guangxi, supporting the construction of the channel, and driving the coordinated development of the areas along the route.Editor/Gong Ziwei
