Late one night in Quang Ninh Province, northern Vietnam, as thousands of lights gradually went out, a newly put into operation new energy factory had to carefully adjust its production pace due to fluctuations in grid load. For local residents and businesses, power outages or unstable voltage were once intangible bottlenecks that hindered their quality of life and industrial upgrading. But the turning point of the story is often hidden in every technological leap.

Sign a large overseas energy storage contract

Recently, Ryuan has reached a cooperation agreement with EVNNPC, the North Vietnam Electricity Corporation, and signed a 110MWh large-scale grid side energy storage project. This project is not only the first batch of energy storage demonstration projects for EVNNPC, but also the first cooperation between Vietnam State Grid and overseas enterprises in energy storage projects. It is also the first overseas EPC project implemented by Ryuan Electric.

EVNNPC, a subsidiary of Vietnam Power Group, is responsible for the construction and operation of distribution networks in 27 provinces and cities in northern Vietnam, and is a key player in the country's power grid. The 110MWh energy storage project is a landmark project for the development of the energy storage industry in Vietnam's power grid.

Self developed solution adapted to local environment

In this collaboration, Ryuan Electric relies on a complete set of independently developed energy storage core technologies to provide a one-stop full cycle solution from planning and construction, equipment supply to commissioning and operation. The core equipment of the project is a self-developed centralized energy storage system, which includes a 5MWh battery compartment and an energy storage converter boost integrated compartment. The integration and conversion efficiency are outstanding, and the safety protection system is complete, suitable for the high temperature and humid climate in Southeast Asia. The related products have obtained multiple international certifications such as CE and UN, and have been implemented and operated in multiple countries.

After the completion of the project, it can undertake multiple functions such as peak shaving, frequency regulation, and smoothing of new energy generation fluctuations in the power grid, alleviate the pressure of new energy consumption, enhance the stability and regulation capacity of the power grid in northern Vietnam, and improve the scale of local clean energy utilization. Ryuan Electric actively responded to the the Belt and Road green development initiative, and regarded Southeast Asia as the core region for overseas expansion. We will continue to deeply cultivate the Vietnamese market, promote localization layout, establish local cooperation system, improve overseas service team, and enhance project delivery and customer service level. As a BNEF Level 1 energy storage system integrator, Ryuan Electric continues to promote its global market layout, with business radiating to key new energy regions such as Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, and has won multiple overseas key energy storage projects. Relying on excellent product quality and integrated service strength, we have gained recognition from large overseas energy enterprises and created a model for Chinese energy storage brands to go global.Editor/Gong Ziwei
