At the southernmost tip of the African continent, an energy revolution concerning brightness and stability is quietly brewing. As traditional power grids seek a new balance in the wave of new energy, the seeds of China's energy storage technology take root and sprout on the land of the Free State Province in South Africa. It will not only capture the light of the sun, but also use a combination of punches to solve the problem of local power supply fluctuations, injecting a continuous stream of green energy into this land that desires development.

Large scale energy storage project landed in South Africa
Envision Energy recently signed cooperation agreements with SOLA Group and WBHO to provide 660 megawatt hour battery energy storage equipment for the Naos-1 project in South Africa. The project is located in the vicinity of Vilronsk Luen, Free State Province, South Africa. It relies on the domestic power grid transmission mechanism to supply adjustable and controllable clean energy to private entities, alleviate the fluctuation of new energy generation, and strengthen the stability of power grid operation.

The project, which includes a 300 megawatt photovoltaic power station and 660 megawatt hour energy storage equipment, is the largest contracted private hybrid renewable energy project in South Africa that has completed financing.
Long term operation and maintenance support for supporting facilities
Envision Energy provides one-stop technical support for the design, equipment production, and post operation of the entire energy storage system through its self-developed technology that integrates the entire energy storage industry chain. It has also signed a 25 year long-term operation and maintenance service contract with SOLA Group to ensure the long-term stable operation of the project.
John Lee, the regional head of Envision Energy in Asia and Africa, stated that the Naos-1 project has demonstrated that the integrated photovoltaic and energy storage model can reconstruct a new energy system, significantly improving power supply stability, scheduling flexibility, and economic benefits while delivering green electricity. The company is willing to work together to assist South Africa and various emerging markets in promoting energy green transformation.
Expand private energy pathways
Ian Burger, Managing Director of SOLA Build, stated that the Naos-1 project is a typical example of new energy infrastructure, flexible and easy to expand, and meets the current development needs of the electricity market. Keywords: Envision Energy, South Africa, Energy Storage

Relying on Envision Energy's mature technology, the project opens up a new channel for private capital to participate in energy infrastructure, helping to build a new type of power system with stronger risk resistance and long-term development adaptability.Editor/Gong Ziwei
