On the morning of June 26, 2026, the Chinese President met with Bangladeshi Prime Minister Tariq, who was on an official visit to China, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The leaders of the two countries jointly announced the construction of a China Bangladesh community with a shared future in the new era, promoting the development of bilateral relations to a higher level.

The Chinese President stated that China always attaches great importance to the development of China Bangladesh relations and adheres to a policy of good neighborliness and friendship towards all Bangladeshi people. No matter how the international situation changes, China will unwaveringly adhere to the direction of China Bangladesh friendship and always be a trustworthy good friend, neighbor, and partner of Bangladesh. This year marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC. Looking back at history, we united and led the Chinese people to successfully walk out of the path of Chinese path to modernization from poverty and weakness, relying on the principle of independence, self-reliance and self-improvement, and firmly holding the destiny of national development and progress in their own hands. China supports Bangladesh in safeguarding its national independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and opposes external interference. We are willing to strengthen the exchange of governance experience with the Bangladeshi side, maintain close exchanges at all levels, deepen strategic communication, enhance political mutual trust, and continue to support each other on issues related to each other's core interests and major concerns.

The Chinese President emphasized that China adheres to the policy of good neighborliness, security, prosperity, and inclusiveness, and continuously provides new opportunities and impetus for neighboring countries with China's new development. China supports the smooth governance of the new government of Bangladesh, and is willing to work with Bangladesh to jointly build the "the Belt and Road" in high quality, deepen the docking of development strategies, exchange development experience, orderly plan key cooperation, tap the potential for cooperation in green and low-carbon, digital economy, information technology, artificial intelligence and other fields, carry out medical, cultural, educational, local and other exchanges, promote the construction of the China Myanmar Bangladesh Economic Corridor, and strengthen regional connectivity. China is willing to strengthen communication and cooperation with Bangladesh within multilateral frameworks such as the United Nations, jointly promote an equal and orderly world multipolarization, inclusive economic globalization, and better safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of China and Bangladesh and the common interests of the global South.

Tariq congratulated the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, and said that China is a great country, always occupies an important position in Bangladesh's foreign policy, and is a valued and trusted partner of Bangladesh. He is very glad that the bilateral relations have risen to a new level of a community of shared future for Bangladesh and China in the new era. Under the strong leadership of the Chinese President, China has made great achievements in development. Chinese path to modernization is a model for Bangladesh to learn from. Bangladesh hopes to strengthen inter party exchanges with China, jointly build the "the Belt and Road", strengthen cooperation and exchanges in economy and trade, connectivity, agriculture, science and technology, green energy, education, health and other fields, and help Bangladesh achieve modernization. Meng Fang firmly adheres to the One China principle, believes that Taiwan is an inseparable part of China's territory, opposes any form of "Taiwan independence", and resolutely defends the authority of UN Resolution 2758. The concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind and the four major global initiatives proposed by the Chinese President are of great significance for maintaining world peace and development, as well as international fairness and justice. Meng fully supports and is willing to strengthen coordination and cooperation with China in international and regional affairs, jointly safeguarding the achievements of World War II victory and the international order centered on the United Nations.
