From the commissioning of China's first million kilowatt ultra supercritical unit at Yuhuan Power Plant in 2006, to the emergence of the world's first 650 ℃ demonstration unit in the same bay, China Huaneng has gone through 20 years of pursuing its dream. On June 30th, Xiong'an New Area welcomed a special review - the technical scheme review meeting for the Huaneng 650 ℃ coal-fired power generation demonstration project was held here. Zhong Guodong, General Manager of China Huaneng, attended and delivered a speech, and Si Weiguo, Deputy General Manager, presided over it. Yue Guangxi, Gao Xiang, academicians of the CAE Member, experts and scholars from Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, General Institute of Electric Power Planning and Design, and other institutions jointly checked the situation, and relevant principals from the State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the National Energy Administration, and the China Electricity Council attended the meeting. After rigorous questioning and discussion, the expert group unanimously confirmed that the plan is feasible, and this breakthrough in high-temperature materials and technology that has lasted for more than ten years has finally reached a milestone moment.

Ten years of sharpening the sword to conquer HT700 high-temperature material

As early as 2010, Huaneng led the formation of an innovation consortium with 35 units, embarking on the path of domestic research and development of iron nickel based high-temperature alloys. The HT700 series high-temperature alloy used in this demonstration project was independently developed by Huaneng Xi'an Thermal Power Institute. It is China's first original high-temperature alloy material for power plants, with completely independent intellectual property rights. It has achieved large-scale application and domestic mass production in coal-fired power generation for the first time, ending the long-term dependence on imported key high-temperature materials. The review experts believe that the research and engineering application foundation of HT700 material is solid. On the same day, the first batch of high-temperature alloy seamless pipes also completed the full process production and inspection acceptance, marking China's comprehensive mastery of the complete production technology of 650 ℃ high parameter coal-fired core high-temperature materials.

The design of the world's highest parameter unit has been recognized

The demonstration unit of Huaneng Yuhuan Power Plant Phase IV, which is about to land, has a main steam and reheat steam temperature of 650 ℃ and a designed main steam pressure of 35 megapascals, which is currently the highest parameter for coal-fired units worldwide. The meeting focused on reviewing three major topics: the engineering adaptability of HT700 materials, the design and manufacturing difficulties of boiler and turbine engines, and the optimization of the entire plant's thermal system. The expert group believed that the boiler, turbine, and overall design scheme were generally reasonable and feasible, with advanced main performance indicators. Compared with existing units, the power generation efficiency of this unit can be improved by about 5%, the coal consumption for power supply is less than 254 grams per kilowatt hour (the lowest in the world for single reheat coal-fired power), the overall thermal efficiency of the plant reaches 50.1% (the highest in the world for coal-fired power), and the annual carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced by about 450000 tons.keywords:New energy latest news

Aiming at 700 ℃ and moving towards a new generation of coal-fired power system

Zhong Guodong emphasized at the meeting that promoting the transformation of coal-fired power towards high parameters, high efficiency, and low-carbon is the core path to implementing the dual carbon strategy and a key lever to build a solid bottom line for energy security. The meeting suggested that the next stage should aim for clean and low-carbon, safe and reliable, efficient regulation, and cost leadership, improve material application optimization, host and system scheme design, ensure the completion of demonstration research and development, and carry out 700 ℃ technology research and development on this basis to promote the iterative upgrading of coal-fired power to higher parameters and higher efficiency.
