The Simandou mining area in Guinea has reached a critical construction milestone, and multiple core supporting projects undertaken by China Railway Tenth Bureau have been completed. This mining area with top iron ore resources was previously restricted by the development progress of infrastructure weakness. The project team seized the local limited construction window period to overcome difficulties, and successfully opened the whole chain of ore transportation and storage, which not only ensured the subsequent production and operation of the mine, but also demonstrated China's infrastructure strength with high standard overseas projects, helping the the Belt and Road China Africa resource cooperation to steadily advance.  

Engineering strengthens the foundation of the mine

The Simandou iron ore has large reserves and excellent ore grade, which can effectively balance the global iron ore supply. The completed project includes the mining road, mining area pile foundation, and main warehouse. The road connects the ore transportation channel, various pile foundations stabilize the production site, the warehouse ensures material turnover, and multiple facilities work together to build a complete foundation for mining operation.  

Striving to create high-quality overseas products

The local construction environment is complex and the construction period is tight. The project department uses the dry season to concentrate construction, optimizes construction technology to solve the problem of building collapsed mountain roads, and simultaneously completes supporting construction such as slope greening, interception and drainage. The project strictly adheres to the three control standards of safety, quality, and environmental protection, and has received multiple commendations from the owner and written recognition three times.Keywords: iron ore、China Africa infrastructure cooperation
