On July 1, 2026, the Sany Lithium Energy Lighthouse Factory project officially started construction in Changsha Economic Development Zone. This is the first battery production project invested and built by Sany Lithium Energy, with a total construction area of approximately 93500 square meters and a planned annual production capacity of 65GWh. The project will establish a new intelligent production workshop, digital warehousing, and research and development laboratory, and support the construction of a full chain lighthouse system. Three intelligent production lines for power battery PACK, energy storage battery, and battery swapping module will be implemented.

As the core layout of Sany Group's new energy sector, this project directly fills the key gap in the group's self-produced lithium batteries.

Heavy industry enterprises collectively enter the new lithium battery track

Construction machinery has long been a major carbon emitter in the industry, and the transition to electrification has become a clear industry trend. The penetration rate of new energy in domestic construction machinery has rapidly increased from 0.4% in 2020 to 7.9% in 2024, and is expected to exceed 14.5% in 2026.

By 2025, the global shipment of lithium batteries for construction machinery will reach 32GWh, a year-on-year increase of 191%. It is expected to climb to 180GWh by 2030, with a five-year compound growth rate of over 40%. This new blue ocean has attracted leading lithium battery companies such as CATL and EVE Energy to collectively layout, and the industry's positioning war has begun.

Layout of the entire chain to reduce costs and promote industrial synergy

Sany Group will launch a new energy transformation in 2022, successively landing three subsidiaries of hydrogen energy, silicon energy, and lithium energy, gradually building a complete industrial chain framework for wind solar hydrogen storage. Previously, Sany Lithium Energy had launched multiple substitution power stations and energy storage products, won orders worth hundreds of millions of yuan, and reached strategic partnerships with more than ten domestic enterprises.
