In order to get rid of dependence on fossil energy imports and optimize the domestic energy structure, Türkiye launched a large-scale new energy bidding plan. The large-scale wind and solar projects with super installed capacity are open for application, attracting global new energy enterprises to enter the market with flexible trading and bidding regulations.

Large capacity release
Türkiye's National Renewable Energy Resources Zone officially launched a new bidding, releasing 2.4GW of clean energy installed capacity at one time, helping the local new energy market to expand on a large scale. This bidding has divided 21 independent bidding units, with clear track ratio. There are 7 sections for onshore wind power, with a total installed capacity of 1.5GW, and 14 photovoltaic sections with a total installed capacity of 900MW. Market enterprises need to complete the bidding application before October 13, 2026. The overall project is the core layout of Türkiye's energy transformation, which can effectively improve the green power supply, reduce the dependence on fossil energy, and strengthen the national energy independent guarantee capability.

New regulations safeguard investment
This bidding set up a graded electricity price control mechanism to avoid vicious bidding chaos. The maximum bidding price for wind and photovoltaic power is uniformly 0.055 euros per kilowatt hour, the minimum price for photovoltaic power is 0.0325 euros per kilowatt hour, and the minimum price for wind power is 0.035 euros per kilowatt hour. After reaching the bottom of the quotation, the enterprise will compete for the bid with the corresponding investment amount per megawatt of installed capacity. The commercialization mechanism of the project is flexible, and photovoltaics can enjoy a 60 month market-oriented electricity sales cycle, while wind power can have an independent trading cycle of 72 months, which can be linked to a 20-year long-term power purchase agreement to stabilize investment returns. At the same time, the project zoning layout is balanced, with Ankara focusing on the layout of photovoltaics and obtaining approval for 370MW. Balakshir has become the core layout area for wind power with a quota of 685MW.Editor/Min Jing
