US-Chile Mining Cooperation Upgrades, Reshaping Global Key Mineral Supply Chain
07-20
The clean energy track in the Middle East continues to heat up, and Saudi Arabia is leveraging its unique scenic resources to promote the green hydrogen industry. Chinese and Saudi enterprises have once again formed a strong alliance and landed large-scale new energy projects along the Red Sea coast, empowering the construction of Saudi Arabia's local green energy industry chain with mature engineering technology.

Project landing in the Red Sea
Under the witness of the Saudi China Business Council, Saudi Hydrogen Industries has reached a strategic cooperation agreement with CC7, focusing on the development of new projects in the Saudi Red Sea coastal industrial corridor. The industrial park is located along the line from Jeddah to Jizan, relying on local photovoltaic wind power resources to produce green hydrogen and process green ammonia, with a planned annual output of about 1 million tons of green ammonia. The initial estimated investment for the project is 3 billion US dollars, and the total investment for the entire cycle can reach up to 5 billion US dollars. Both parties will simultaneously build new energy power stations, hydrogen production facilities, and a complete set of industrial infrastructure, and establish an export-oriented green energy industry base. Empowering Saudi Arabia with green energy
This project is deeply aligned with Saudi Arabia's national low-carbon development strategy, helping it build an export-oriented low-carbon fuel industry. During the cooperation process, China will export engineering technology and clean energy construction experience, and promote the localization of equipment, technology, and talent in Saudi Arabia's hydrogen and ammonia industries. At present, the project is in the early planning stage and needs to complete feasibility studies, financing, technology selection, and underwriting agreements before starting construction. The project will also form a healthy market competition with existing green energy projects such as Saudi NEOM and ACWA Power, promoting the upgrading of the regional green hydrogen industry.Editor/Min Jing
