On July 14-16, 2026, during his visit to Kyrgyzstan, Chen Xiaodong, Director General of the National Agency for International Development Cooperation, met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz government, Akhubekov, and held talks with the Minister of Finance of Kyrgyzstan, Suyanaliev.

Chen Xiaodong stated that China and Kyrgyzstan are good neighbors, friends, and partners who rely on mountains and rivers, know each other, and date each other. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations 34 years ago, political mutual trust between China and Kyrgyzstan has continued to deepen, cooperation in various fields has yielded fruitful results, and personnel exchanges have become increasingly close.   Last year, the two heads of state met three times, providing fundamental guidance for the future development of China Kyrgyzstan relations. The SCO is willing to strengthen cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, conscientiously implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, plan cooperation in the field of development, coordinate the promotion of major landmark projects and "small but beautiful" livelihood projects, focus on cooperation in infrastructure, connectivity, medical and health, agriculture, green development and other fields, and make greater contributions to the development of bilateral relations and the well-being of the people.

The Jilin side stated that it attaches great importance to developing relations with China and regards it as a diplomatic priority. Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, the relationship between Kyrgyzstan and China has reached the highest level in history. In recent years, Kyrgyzstan has maintained rapid economic and social development. We appreciate China's selfless assistance and valuable support, and are willing to work with China to deepen the strategic docking of the two countries' development, and benefit the two countries and their peoples with more practical development achievements.

During his visit to Kyrgyzstan, Chen Xiaodong conducted on-site inspections of various development cooperation projects, including materials for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's Bishikek Summit, Chinese schools, Luban workshops, fire and rescue equipment.
