The Batumi Oil Terminal operated by Kazakhstan National Oil Transport Company in Georgia has resumed aviation kerosene transit business after eight years. The terminal relies on the Trans Caspian International Transport Corridor, also known as the Middle Corridor, to create a key logistics hub for transporting aviation fuel from Europe to Kazakhstan.

The dock restarts the transportation of aviation coal

In July 2026, Batumi Petroleum Terminal officially opened the European refinery JET A1 aviation kerosene transfer business, enriching the types of oil products transferred at the terminal. The first batch of 10000 tons of aviation kerosene was transported to the dock storage area by Black Sea ships, and then transported to various parts of Kazakhstan by railway tankers.

JET A1 aviation kerosene is a globally used fuel for civil aviation, which is related to the stable operation and flight safety of flights. A stable and sufficient supply of aviation fuel can promote the steady development of Kazakhstan's civil aviation industry, improve domestic comprehensive transportation facilities, and enhance the country's energy security level. The enterprise claims that restarting aviation coal transshipment can enhance the comprehensive logistics capacity of Batumi Port, drive the overall freight volume of the intermediate corridor, stabilize the cross-border energy supply chain, and consolidate the operational advantages of the enterprise in the cross-border logistics field in Central Asia.

Improve the storage and transportation of diversified oil products

The Batumi Oil Terminal is fully owned by Kazakhstan National Oil Transport Company and fully manages all petroleum assets of the enterprise in Georgia. As a comprehensive transportation hub for refined oil products, the terminal can load, unload, store, and transfer various petrochemical products such as crude oil, fuel oil, diesel, gasoline, various kerosene, liquefied hydrocarbons, etc. In the first half of 2026, the total transportation volume of various petroleum products at the terminal reached 725000 tons.
