Oman's state-owned energy enterprises continue to promote industrial upgrading and upgrading, in order to balance green carbon reduction and efficient resource development, and fill the gaps in oil and gas production and exploration technology. The local oil development company has launched two new special procurement tenders, opening up cooperation with high-quality global suppliers and promoting the digital and green transformation of the domestic oil and gas industry.

Gas recovery and carbon reduction

This bidding includes the commercial utilization project of torch gas in the northern concession area, and is soliciting cooperation proposals from enterprises and consortia with mature experience in natural gas recovery, processing, and related energy technologies worldwide. The bidding deadline for the project is August 20, 2026. This project focuses on the recovery of natural gas from the production of oil fields, converting waste associated gas into usable energy and commercial products. This is an important measure for the oil and gas industry to reduce carbon emissions and increase efficiency. It can effectively reduce greenhouse gas emissions, reduce resource waste, and tap into the commercial value of idle natural gas, creating additional revenue for oil and gas production and in line with the global trend of green energy transformation and development.

Exploration efficiency enhancement and empowerment

The pre qualification process for earthquake data processing service providers will also be launched simultaneously, with a deadline of 11:30 am on July 28, 2026. Oman Petroleum Development Company plans to build an exclusive internal seismic data processing center, equipped with professional technical personnel and high-performance computing equipment, relying on advanced seismic imaging and data processing technology to accurately analyze underground geological structures. This digital layout can significantly improve the accuracy and drilling efficiency of oil and gas reserves exploration, optimize oilfield development plans, and continuously strengthen the core decision-making and operational capabilities of upstream oil and gas exploration and development in enterprises. Keywords: Oman oil and gas bidding, energy green upgrade

The two bidding projects are precisely aligned with Oman's long-term sustainable energy development strategy. On the one hand, they improve resource utilization and implement low-carbon development concepts through torch gas recovery. On the other hand, they rely on digital technology to innovate traditional exploration models. Continuous technological upgrades and global cooperation layout will comprehensively enhance the production efficiency, environmental protection level, and core competitiveness of Oman's oil and gas industry, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality development of the local energy industry.Editor/Min Jing
