The second and third phases of the Al Zour North power station in Kuwait are key integrated projects for large-scale combined cycle power generation and seawater desalination in the Middle East region. They were developed by a consortium of ACWA Power and GIC using the BOT model, with a total investment of approximately 4.1 billion US dollars. After completion, an additional 2700 MW of power generation capacity will be added, with a daily output of approximately 545500 cubic meters of desalinated water, making it the largest electricity and water facility in Kuwait.
