In the heartland of the Eurasian continent, a trade artery spanning China, Central Asia, and the Caucasus is being re welded. Tashkent, which used to be a resting place for camel caravans, has now established intelligent warehouses and railway terminals. The capital and infrastructure forces of the three countries have converged, turning the transit area into a new hub.

Relying on the cooperation framework between the governments of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, and implementing the cooperation consensus reached by the two heads of state, the cross-border logistics cooperation between China, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan has achieved a new breakthrough. The cooperation consortium jointly established by Silkway CA, a joint venture between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, and China Railway Construction Engineering Group has recently signed an EPC general contracting contract and launched the second phase of the Tashkent Multi functional Logistics Center project in Uzbekistan, continuously improving the international logistics corridor connecting China, Central Asia, and the Caucasus region.

Phase II intelligent high-end warehousing

According to the overall project plan, the second phase will build a modern warehousing cluster with a total construction area of approximately 60000 square meters, including 41472 square meters of high standard Class A warehouses and 18432 square meters of comprehensive cold chain warehousing space. The cold chain warehouse is equipped with multi zone intelligent temperature control equipment, which can cover the storage needs of multiple categories of goods such as deep freezing and refrigeration in one stop; The park is equipped with a fully automatic warehouse management system, which automatically calculates inventory data and can also complete intelligent sorting operations based on the time of goods entering the warehouse.

Unified construction of two phases of the project

The first phase of the logistics center project has started construction in March 2026, covering railway supporting facilities, container terminals, and warehousing buildings. China Railway Construction Engineering Group fully undertakes the first and second phase general contracting work, ensuring the coherence and unity of the construction standards and technical plans for the two phases. The main construction plan of the project is to be completed by 2027. The logistics hub is located in the Yangiyur area of Tashkent Oblast, covering an overall area of 159.4 hectares. The Silkway Central Asia project is a core logistics project jointly promoted by the governments of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The operating entity is the joint venture Silkway CA, which was registered and established in March 2025. Connecting the Eurasian logistics network

This newly built logistics hub is a key link in PTC Holding's global cross-border logistics network, which also covers the Dostyk container terminal on the China Kazakhstan border and the Poti Port logistics park in Georgia. Multiple logistics facilities are interconnected to jointly undertake the functions of cargo transfer and distribution in cross-border corridors along China, Central Asia, the Caucasus, and the Black Sea coast.
