Recently, Shanxi Installation Group Co., Ltd. signed an EPC general contracting contract for the 500MW AI Kamil I Solar Independent Power Generation Project (IPP) in Oman, with a contract value of approximately RMB 1.5 billion. This is a key project in Oman's new energy strategy and Shanxi Installation's first large-scale new energy project in the Middle East market.
According to the announcement, Shanxi Installation will undertake the entire chain of services, including project design, equipment procurement, transportation and installation, construction and commissioning, grid connection, and two and a half years of operation and maintenance after commissioning, realizing a leap from a "construction contractor" to a "one-stop new energy solution provider."

Oman is vigorously promoting its energy transition. Al Kamil I is an important piece of its photovoltaic layout, and large-scale photovoltaic and energy storage projects will continue to be implemented in the future. It is worth noting that a consortium led by EDF has won the development rights for a 2000MW pumped storage project in northern Oman, which means that Oman is moving from single photovoltaic power generation to a comprehensive "photovoltaic + energy storage" energy system, opening up broader cooperation opportunities for Chinese companies.
This successful bid is a strategic milestone for Shanxi Installation – not only marking a breakthrough in the Middle East market, but also signifying a comprehensive upgrade of its international EPC business from traditional sectors to the new energy arena. In recent years, Chinese engineering companies have rapidly risen in the Middle East's new energy market thanks to their advantages in cost control, efficient execution, and a complete industrial chain. From component supply to power plant construction, Chinese strength has become one of the main forces in global new energy infrastructure. The successful implementation of the Al Kamil I project is expected to serve as a crucial stepping stone for Chinese enterprises to deeply integrate into the Middle East's new energy industrial chain, providing a model for more Chinese engineering companies to "go global with the help of new energy."
