On the evening of July 24, 2026, a Vietnamese ship sank in the waters near 220 nautical miles east of Qinghe, Vietnam, with a total of 62 people on board. The Chinese Ministry of Transport's "Nanhai Jiu 115" vessel passing through this area is conducting multi-party joint search and rescue operations. As of July 26, 2026, China has rescued a total of 45 people and transferred 41 people to Vietnam. The transfer work will continue.
