On July 29, 2026, the 140th China Import and Export Fair Promotion Conference was held in Algiers. Dong Guangli, Ambassador to Algeria, Xu Jiansheng, Director of Operations of China Foreign Trade Center, and Ma Zhan, Vice Chairman of the All China Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Algeria, attended and delivered speeches. More than 200 people from the Algerian business community, various business associations, and multiple media outlets participated.

Ambassador Dong stated that the economic and trade cooperation between China and Arab countries has a solid foundation and enormous potential. China has fully implemented zero tariffs on African countries with diplomatic relations, bringing new opportunities for high-quality products with Afghan characteristics to enter the Chinese market and helping Afghanistan accelerate industrialization, agricultural modernization, and economic diversification. We hope that enterprises from both China and Arab countries can seize the favorable policies, strengthen coordination, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. Director Xu and others made a special presentation on the Canton Fair, welcoming companies to actively participate and explore the Chinese market. Vice Chairman Ma Zhan and the Argentine business community highly praised the zero tariff policy and stated that they will actively organize groups to participate in the Canton Fair in China.
