On July 28-29, 2026, Ambassador Chen Mingjian visited Zanzibar, Tanzania to inspect the Sangi Balmangapu New Port project constructed by China Harbour and the solar energy and smart education system donated by Huawei to local schools. He was accompanied by Director Ji Zhiyuan of the Political Information Department of our embassy.

Ambassador Chen conducted on-site inspections of the project, held discussions with the company's leaders and employee representatives, and demanded that the company strengthen its safety awareness, adhere to legal operations, fulfill social responsibilities, and contribute to the development of China Tanzania relations. Ambassador Chen also visited relevant schools to understand the application of advanced Chinese technology and equipment in Tan schools. The relevant enterprises accompanied Ambassador Chen and his delegation on the on-site inspection, stating that they will strictly implement various requirements, fully promote the project, and give back to the local society. The teachers and students of the school thank China's technology for bringing smart classrooms and improving educational conditions, and express their hope to learn advanced Chinese technology to help Tanzania's national development.Editor/Min Jing
