A toll ring road project with a total investment of about 1 billion US dollars in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, has entered the planning stage. This double decker toll loop with a total length of about 100 kilometers will be constructed with 7 tunnels, 5 overpasses, and a 57 kilometer dedicated rapid transit corridor. China Railway Construction Corporation, China Hunan Overseas and other enterprises have signed memorandums of cooperation, and China State Construction plans to increase supporting investment by $500 million. The Central Asian infrastructure market is ushering in a new round of Chinese enterprise participation boom.

The 100 kilometer ring road covers tunnel overpasses and BRT

Tashkent plans to construct a double decker toll ring road with a total length of about 100 kilometers around the city, with an initial investment scale of about 1 billion US dollars. According to the plan, the project will construct 7 tunnels and 5 overpasses, while building a total length of 57 kilometers of dedicated rapid transit corridors on 16 urban roads, and constructing and renovating 279 kilometers of roads. This project is considered an important project for improving the urban transportation system in Tashkent.

China Railway Construction Corporation signed a memorandum of understanding with Hunan Overseas

The project is planned to be implemented in cooperation with China Railway Construction Corporation Limited. Currently, the two parties have signed a memorandum of understanding, and specific investment and construction arrangements still need to be promoted in the future. In addition to China Railway Construction, Tashkent has also signed another memorandum of cooperation with Zhongxiang Overseas Construction and Development Co., Ltd. Chinese enterprises, with their experience in large-scale transportation projects and bridge and tunnel construction, are becoming important participants in local infrastructure cooperation. China Construction plans to invest $500 million to support the overpass camping area

In addition to the main construction of the ring road, China State Construction Engineering Corporation plans to invest 500 million US dollars to focus on building 3 overpasses and 4 camping areas, and to carry out major repairs on 27 kilometers of roads to improve road supporting service facilities.
