The construction contract for the first phase of the Š tip wind farm has been officially signed, with a consortium consisting of Kon č ar and Dalekovod from Croatia responsible for the construction. This is one of the largest wind power projects under construction in North Macedonia, with a total installed capacity of 375000 kilowatts, driving the development of new energy infrastructure in Southeast Europe from blueprint to hoisting.

337.5MW to be promoted in three phases

The project plans to install 54 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 337.5MW. The first phase of the project will consist of 21 units with a single capacity of 6.25MW and a total installed capacity of approximately 131.25MW. Construction is scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2026 and grid connected for power generation by mid-2028; The second phase plans for 17 units, the third phase for 16 units, and is expected to be completed as a whole by 2029.

The EPC contract signed this time is worth 53.7 million euros, covering the construction of 21 wind turbine foundations, on-site road laying, and the construction of medium voltage power grids and fiber optic communication systems. The grid access project is being synchronously promoted - a new 400/35kV Baltalija substation and a double circuit 400kV overhead transmission line will be built, connected to the main network of the North Macedonian national transmission system operator.

Southeast European wind power market is accelerating expansion

After completion, the Š tip project will become one of the largest onshore wind power projects in the Western Balkans that has entered the substantive construction stage. As a reference, the largest wind farm currently in operation in the region is the Č ibuk 1 project in Serbia (158MW); The largest project planned is the Serbian Maestrale Ring (854MW).
