A new round of passenger railway construction in Mexico has been accelerated, and the core section has officially opened for design and construction bidding. Multiple local and international companies gathered on site for inspection, and CCCC successfully entered the competition. Multiple companies compete for the bidding section

The Mexican Railway and Comprehensive Public Transport Authority, ATTRAPI, has launched a bidding process for the design and construction of the San Miguel de Allende Reyes passenger railway section. The total length of the section is 82 kilometers, covering elevated bridges, tunnels, various railway bridges, and pedestrian bridges. The bidding is expected to open in October 2026. This first on-site exploration gathered eight companies, including CCCC Mexico, Swiss Holcim Mexico, and six local Mexican enterprises. Most local enterprises are deeply involved in the local railway market, with rich experience in project bidding and construction, and a diverse competitive landscape. The track continues to expand

This section is an important component of the Kretaro Saltillo passenger railway corridor and is the second sub section of the Kretaro San Luis Potosi section. The bidding for the first 68 kilometer section from Queretaro to San Miguel de Allende is progressing in an orderly manner, and is expected to open at the end of August 2026. Four more railway projects will be tendered in the future, and the overall road network construction scale will continue to expand. In recent years, multiple Chinese enterprises have continued to expand their presence in the Mexican railway industry.
