On August 19, 2026, Cambodian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Deng Dina, and Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia, Wang Wenbin, jointly visited the National Agricultural Laboratory in Kandal Province, Cambodia to inspect the progress of animal health laboratory construction and equipment allocation.

It is understood that the animal health laboratory project is supported by foreign aid funds from the Chinese government, including laboratory building construction, as well as related infrastructure and experimental equipment, aiming to enhance Cambodia's testing, scientific research, and technical capabilities in the field of animal health.

During the inspection, both parties listened to the introduction of project construction achievements, infrastructure construction progress, and the application and technical capabilities of modern experimental equipment.

Deng Dina stated that this project is an important achievement of cooperation between China and Cambodia in the field of agricultural modernization. It will further promote the improvement of Cambodia's animal health laboratory testing and scientific research capabilities, provide technical support for agricultural development and animal disease prevention and control, and also reflect the long-term friendly cooperation between China and Cambodia.Editor/Gong Ziwei
