The key rail transit project in Vietnam has received technical assistance from China, and the local authorities have finalized a cooperation plan, with a team led by Chinese enterprises responsible for the core review work. Professional technical support will solidify the foundation of project construction, improve regional transportation networks, and deepen China Vietnam infrastructure cooperation.

Take over the core consulting business

Recently, the Construction Department of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam approved a consortium consisting of CRL and Vietnam Hung Nghiep Construction Consulting Co., Ltd. to undertake the feasibility study and front-end engineering design review of the Shou Tien Long City Railway Project. The total investment of this project is about 5.1 billion US dollars, and it is a key transportation project in southeastern Vietnam. It is planned to start construction in September 2026.

This cooperation is entrusted by Vietnam Daguangming Real Estate Investment Co., Ltd. The consulting service adopts a total price contract, and the service period is about 3 months. In terms of division of labor, CRL undertakes 80.9% of the workload, leading core work such as feasibility study report, front-end engineering design, and total investment review, while Vietnamese cooperative enterprises undertake the remaining 19.1% of the work and cooperate to complete survey and design review related matters. This review will comprehensively review the project's technical proposal, engineering design, and investment scale, laying a solid foundation for project compliance approval.

Empowering regional transportation

According to the project plan, the total length of the Shou Tien Long Railway is 46.44 kilometers, spanning between Ho Chi Minh City and Tong Nai City, with 11.24 kilometers in Ho Chi Minh City and 35.2 kilometers in Tong Nai City. The entire line is planned to have 18 stations, with 14 stations to be constructed in the first phase. The project will be implemented through PPP mode and construction transfer contract, with a construction period from 2026 to 2030. Keywords: Vietnam Railway, Infrastructure, Going Global

This route leads directly to Longcheng International Airport and connects with the new airport that will be put into operation in December 2026. After completion, it can connect the urban core area with the airport area, filling the regional transportation gap. At present, the project has been included in the key promotion list of Ho Chi Minh City and is expected to start construction around September. It plays an important role in optimizing the transportation pattern in southeastern Vietnam and promoting regional economic and trade circulation.Editor/Min Jing
