From 50 MW to 350 MW, Dongfang Electric has been cooperating with CGN New Energy for ten years, delivering a total of five sets of solar thermal turbine equipment. The world's largest solar thermal project

The project is located in Golmud City, Qinghai Province, and is a key clean energy benchmark project in Qinghai Province. It innovatively adopts a solar thermal power generation technology route that combines molten salt tower and trough, which is the industry's first technology model. The 350 MW solar thermal steam turbine generator set supporting the project is a specialized core equipment optimized and developed by Dongfang Electric for the special operating conditions of tower type molten salt solar thermal power. The unit is highly adapted to the characteristics of molten salt energy storage operation, accurately matching the intermittent and fluctuating working conditions of solar thermal power generation. It has the characteristics of high power generation efficiency, flexible peak shaving, reliable start stop, and outstanding energy storage adaptability, which can significantly improve the power consumption level of the power station and ensure smooth and reliable grid connected operation. After the project is completed and put into operation, it is expected to generate 1 billion kilowatt hours of electricity annually, which can effectively replace traditional fossil fuels and significantly reduce regional carbon emissions.
