The melodious traditional music plays, and a millennium long civilization gathers in Bishkek across mountains and seas. Heavy cultural relics from China and Kyrgyzstan are showcased together, and immersive exhibitions allow overseas people to experience the charm of multiculturalism up close.

On August 18, 2026, the Hehe Zhimei Exhibition of Ancient Chinese Civilization Art opened at the National History Museum of Kyrgyzstan. This exhibition is the highest scale joint exhibition of cultural relics since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Kyrgyzstan. It gathers 153 sets of precious exhibits from three museums, including 145 sets of Chinese exhibits, covering historical cultural relics and characteristic intangible cultural heritage works.
The exhibition focuses on the concept of harmony and showcases the process of cultural integration between China and Kyrgyzstan in three major chapters. It is equipped with multilingual explanations and digital interactive devices, and also includes intangible cultural heritage experience projects, which have received praise from local residents and foreign tourists. Several Chinese and foreign envoys, as well as cultural and museum officials, attended the opening ceremony.

The exhibition will be extended for three months, and in the future, cultural and museum institutions from both sides will establish a normalized cooperation mechanism, continue to promote academic discussions and talent exchanges, and deepen cultural and friendly exchanges between China and Kyrgyzstan.Editor/Min Jing
