The Czech energy storage market has ushered in a new breakthrough, with large-scale energy storage projects landing one after another in just a few weeks. The newly put into operation Lipnitz energy storage power station has broken the local installed capacity record, and the market-oriented operation mode also provides a new reference for the development of local new energy.

Recently, the Lipnitz energy storage power station, jointly developed by Czech Suas Group and Slovak EIF, has been officially put into operation. The project has an installed capacity of 57MW/120MWh, with a total investment of approximately 400 million Czech koruny, equivalent to 130 million yuan. It is located in the Visochna Oblast, about 100 kilometers southeast of Prague, and is equipped with 144 sets of battery cabinets, 18 sets of PCS, and 9 sets of transformer installation equipment. This project has no government subsidies and relies on electricity market transactions to generate revenue. The expected investment payback period is 5 to 8 years. The Modlany energy storage project, which was put into operation at the beginning of this month, quickly surpassed its record, highlighting the acceleration trend of energy storage construction in the Czech Republic.
