Promote the application of industrial photovoltaics

Egypt launches factory photovoltaic renovation plan, providing rooftop photovoltaics to 7000 factories within two years, with an initial installed capacity of 1 gigawatt. The new regulations require that 25% of the energy used by newly built factories be sourced from renewable energy and included in the industrial license review. The country plans to increase the proportion of renewable energy generation to 45% by 2028, helping businesses reduce their carbon footprint and adapt to EU carbon trading rules. Strengthen the local energy storage industry

Egypt is advancing energy storage construction on a dual track basis, implementing multiple large-scale solar storage projects and simultaneously introducing Chinese enterprises to build local production capacity. Sunshine Power, Huawei Digital Energy, and Haichen Energy Storage have successively landed cooperation projects, laying out the manufacturing of energy storage equipment.
