In the industrial park of Liannan in northern Guangdong, a 200MW/400MWh independent energy storage power station has officially started construction. As a benchmark project for new energy introduced in the local area in recent years, it will provide key power grid peak shaving support for the green transformation of this ecological county.

Clear implementation of construction details for energy storage power stations

The project covers a total area of approximately 17906 square meters and is equipped with a three story electrical building. The core energy storage unit adopts lithium iron phosphate battery technology. According to the current construction and grid connection standards for independent energy storage power stations, a 220 kV booster station will be built synchronously, and connected to the regional main grid substation through one 220 kV cable line. After the project is put into operation, it can significantly improve the local level of new energy consumption, strengthen the peak shaving ability of the power grid, and ensure the stability and safety of regional power supply.

The green path of ecological districts and counties continues to extend

Liannan is located in the ecological development zone of northern Guangdong, with outstanding ecological resource endowment. In recent years, based on the positioning of ecological functional zones, relying on the opportunities of the Hundred, Thousand and Ten Million Project and the Green Beauty Guangdong ecological construction policy, the new energy industry has been regarded as the core lever for cultivating new quality productivity and driving county-level economic growth.

After the independent energy storage project is implemented, it will further extend the local new energy industry chain, promote the transformation of ecological resource advantages into industrial economic value, and inject sustained green power into the high-quality development of ethnic areas.
