The Inner Mongolia Electric Power Group's 500 kV transmission line project from Mengxi to Shagehuang in Beijing Tianjin Hebei has started construction in Dalate Banner, Ordos City. This project belongs to the national key supporting project of West East Power Transmission, and is also a benchmark project for optimizing the ultra-high voltage power grid architecture and opening up new energy transmission channels in Mengxi. After the completion of the project, large-scale clean electricity from the Kubuqi Desert will be centrally stored, which can directly deliver 12 million kilowatts of new energy electricity to the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region, providing a stable grid guarantee for the direct current transmission project from western Mongolia to the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region, implementing the national two point three channel energy layout, and assisting in the construction of Inner Mongolia's national important energy and strategic resource base.
