The Central Asia New Energy Construction Project has added new poles, and the large-scale photovoltaic power station in Uzbekistan has been successfully put into operation. China's high-quality technology empowers local energy upgrading, effectively promotes local clean energy substitution, and consolidates the foundation of regional green development.

The project has been successfully put into operation

On August 25, 2026, the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan held a centralized commissioning ceremony for new construction projects, and President Mirziyoyev attended the event and delivered a speech. The Navoi 300 MW comprehensive energy photovoltaic project, constructed by China Energy Engineering Tianjin Power Construction, participated in the commissioning ceremony via video link. The President highly recognizes the achievements of the project construction, expresses gratitude to all participating personnel, and listens to the introduction of the project construction and operation situation on site, completing the project commissioning and start-up operation. The project is located on the north side of Uznavoi city, with a DC side installed capacity of 363.48 MW and an AC side installed capacity of 300 MW. The project is equipped with N-type 620 watt single crystal double-sided double glass photovoltaic modules and flat single axis tracking brackets, and a 220 kV boosting station is synchronously constructed. It is connected to the local power grid facilities through a 0.5-kilometer transmission and transformation line and smoothly integrated into the Uzbekistan national power grid. Empowering low-carbon development

This project is a core supporting project of Uzbekistan's 2030 renewable energy development strategy, helping the local area achieve the development goal of increasing the proportion of clean energy to 25%. After the project is officially put into operation, it can annually deliver 700 million kilowatt hours of clean electricity, save 220000 tons of standard coal annually, and reduce 600000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. The implementation of the project not only optimizes the energy structure of Uzbekistan, alleviates the pressure on power supply, but also drives local employment, boosts people's livelihood and economy, and injects lasting momentum into the green transformation of energy in Central Asia and the pragmatic economic and trade cooperation between China and Uzbekistan.Editor/Min Jing
